BEST TIME TO VISIT
November until mid-December are the best times to visit Jamaica. The resort and flight deals are great and peak season hasn't creeped in yet. If you don't mind the crowds, your best bet is to visit Jamaica from mid-December until April, when the weather is optimal for a beach vacation. Keep in mind that June to November is the rainy season in this country.

Official Language : The country of Jamaica has one official language, English. The majority of the population speaks Jamaican Patois
Currency: The official currency of Jamaica is the Jamaican Dollar (J$).
Credit Cards & ATM: Hotels accept credit cards and many shop, restaurants, etc. do. However, many smaller shops accept only cash. The most accepted credit cards are VISA and MasterCard. Other cards such as American Express, Discover, etc. have more limited acceptance on the island.
