The Best Hot Chocolate in Paris

Paris is known for its delicious croissants, but we cannot forget about the delicious hot chocolate! While visiting Paris I made sure to research where I could find some worthy hot chocolate and I surely was not disappointed. Below you will find 3 places that I visited that will be a true treat.

Carette

Carette is one of the most well known pastry cafes in Paris. It was founded in the year 1927 by Jean Carette and his wife Madeline. They are very famous for their macarons. Honestly speaking, I was seated in doors and it was very tight. I stayed at my little table looking over to those laughing and in deep conversation and it was nice to see people enjoying themselves. They give you a generous amount of hot chocolate. It is a dark and lightly sweetened. They pour some in your cup and leave the rest for you to enjoy at your own pace. The croissant and the hot chocolate was such a great combo. Carette is located:

Café de Flore

Café de Flore attracts thousands of tourists every year, making it one of the best cafes in Paris. So you know their hot chocolate is the bomb.com. This cafe dates back to 1887 and some of the greats have stepped foot in this place! This art decorated cafe is located in between the fifth and sixth arrondissement. Their chocolate chaud (hot chocolate in french) has a thick creamy texture and is served with a pot of chantilly cream. Now let's be honest, there may be a line. However its totally worth it hunny! Les Deux Magots

Les Deux Magots, another café built in 1873, had some great writers visit this location. Besides that, the hot chocolate speaks for itself. It is also located in the sixth arrondissement district. You should definitely visit this place at least one time during your visit to Paris. The best seats are on the terrace under its iconic green awning (very picturesque).
